Ume: [kisses forehead]
Altair: When you’re around I can’t think straight.
Ume: [kisses forehead]
Altair: When you’re around I can’t think straight.
Ume: Take the time you need to figure things out. Just… don’t shut me out in the process.
Altair: That’s the thing Ume…
Ume: I haven’t told you yet, but you make a very pretty witch.
Altair: [weak chuckle] Shut up. Don’t think you can distract with me with compliments.
Ume: Distract you? What on earth would give you that idea?
Altair: Ume, please.
Ume: [quiet] I’m sorry… I didn’t consider all of those things.
Altair: No… you didn’t.
Ume: Forgive me for being a berryhole?
Altair: I’ll consider it.
Altair: Because for some stupid reason at that moment…the thought of losing you seemed worse. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got–
Ume: [quiet] I didn’t realize that…
Altair: That what? Maybe I was actually marrying him because I wanted to? That maybe I just might be upset that it’s all suddenly gone? Or, even worse, did you expect me to not care?
Ume: That’s not…
Altair: Newsflash Ume. I still fudging care. There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t wish that that day would have gone differently.
Ume: If that’s really how you feel, why did you bother saving me at all?
Altair: I’m saying I don’t even know if I want that as an option.
Ume: Ouch Altair. So what? It all just means nothing?
Altair: Stop! I don’t know, Ume. That’s all that I’m saying. I don’t know.
Ume: How can you not know?
Altair: Because Ume! Less than a year ago I was trying to start a family. I moved to a whole stupid new fudging country and bought a stupid dress and was walking down the aisle to the life I wanted to live. Where is all of that now? JUST GONE.
Ume: Okay… I get it–
Altair: Do you really get it Ume? Because I don’t think you do. Instead, you just show up acting like you can pick up the broken pieces. Like you weren’t the person who broke them in the first place.
Ume: So you were going to just… decide everything on your own and tell me after the fact?
Altair: I don’t know Ume. I just wanted to wrap my head around things and figure out before you swoop in and decide everything for me.
Ume: Whoa. Decide things for you? Where is that even coming from?
Altair: That’s what you always do, Ume!
Ume: Enlighten me. What am I going to say?
Altair: That this is fine. That we can just be together and we’re all some big fudging happy family. Because that’s what you do, Ume. You ignore all of what is wrong with something and do what you feel like you have to.
Ume: Are you saying that isn’t an option?
Ume: How long have you known?
Altair: About two weeks…
Ume: When were planning on telling me?
Altair: I don’t know. It’s still early. Things can go wrong and… berry we just started talking to each other again. I don’t even know what we are yet let alone throwing a baby into the mix. I wanted to figure things out before we talked.
Soliel: It was soft. Kind of warm.
Halloween: Did you like it?
Soliel: Is it weird if I did?
Halloween: Great. My best friends are lesbians now. Uuuugh. That makes me the third wheel. This is going to be awful.
Soliel: We’re ten Hal. Don’t go planning our wedding already.
Halloween: OH NO. Now there’s a wedding?!
Soliel: You’re hopeless.
Halloween: Yeah, but it has a certain type of charm, doesn’t it?
Soliel: [giggles] Maybe.
