Altair: Did you seriously have to invite a business partner to my birthday dinner? I mean, couldn’t this have waited?
Valerian: Altair, mind your manners. Sirius needs to be here today.
Altair: Why exactly?
Valerian: Nevermind that for right now. We’ll discuss more once dinner has arrived.
Moon Flower: Thank you for joining us on such short notice, Sirius, we know you’re a busy man.
Sirius: It’s really not a big deal. Today is an important day after all.
Altair’s 18th Birthday…
I had only known Fox for a few short weeks, but being next to him was my favorite place to be.
Have you ever wanted to listen to everything someone has to say just because you wanted to hear their voice? Or stare at them just because you love their smile, their nose, and well, just their face in general? Or just sit next to them because they exist?
Altair: Mercy! Mercy! I give up.
Foxglove: Are you sure you don’t want more?
Altair: If I laugh anymore I’m pretty sure I’ll explode.
It was exciting, having a secret friendship.
There is an amazing spot just behind the manor, right next to the creek that we watch the sunset at. It’s full of wildflowers and tall trees and when the sun goes down the light turns the shadows the loveliest shades of purple and pink.
Soon enough Fox was stopping by almost every day.
Foxglove: Just promise me next time you won’t break computers to get me here.
Altair: No promises!
Foxglove: You’re right. That was a lot of fun.
Altair: Wait until you see it with bubbles in it!
Foxglove: Altair, don’t
Altair: Too late, already in.
Foxglove: You’re kind of a troublemaker aren’t you?
Altair: Does that make you not want to see me anymore?
Foxglove: I didn’t say that.
