Shade is a simple man who likes simple things. He prefers to keep things the way they are and believes that the vampire laws of old should always be upheld. He will do everything he can to uphold the old ways, even if it costs him his life.

Prose Wellington
A long-term member of The Rebellion, Prose was once human. After being captured by the vampire council he was thrown to the wolves, literally. While he was able to escape, he wasn’t able to make it out before being turned. Now the wolf is the dark passenger that lives inside of him. To him, being a werewolf is hardly the worst of it. Whenever the full moon rises, he loses sight of himself. Being the person that harmed what he cares most about is Prose’s biggest demon. He will do anything to stop that from ever happening again, even if it costs him his own freedom.
Prose: How can you even say that…?
Blaze: Because I know you would never do anything to hurt me.
Prose: [whispering] You should go open the bar… I’ll be fine down here.
Blaze: What a selfish thing to say.
Prose: You shouldn’t come in here. It’s not safe…
Blaze: Don’t be ridiculous. You’re still human, aren’t you?
Prose: But…
Blaze: You know I don’t blame you, don’t you? What happened… it wasn’t your fault.
Blaze: The moon won’t be full until tomorrow. You don’t have to be in there tonight.
Prose: Blaze…
Blaze: You know I hate doing this. Does one more day really hurt?
Prose: I can feel it in my bones… the aching of the wolf calling out to me.
Blaze: Is this necessary?
Prose: Don’t you remember what happened last time you didn’t lock me down here?
Blaze: That was once. It’s not like it will happen every time.
Prose: That’s a risk I’m not willing to take and you know that.
Blaze Turq
Rebellion runs deep in Blaze’s veins. Like his parents and grandparents before them, he part of the rebellion against the vampires. He believes that no single race should have total control and do whatever he can to restore balance to Millhaven. After a run in with a werewolf left Blaze physically unable to join the fight, he decided to channel all of his energies into The Broadmire–a bar that he runs as a hideaway for those who need protection from The Council of Vampires.

Galaxia Rose
One of Eilif’s closest advisers, Galaxia makes up a third of the current reigning Council of Vampires. Where Eilif is black Galaxia is white. She was appointed for her knowledge of humans and unique powers. She has a rare ability called charmspeaking, where if she gives orders in a certain way the receiver is obliged to follow. However, she will only use this power as a last resort. She believes wholeheartedly that most conflicts can be solved through more diplomatic means.
