Clover: Chess in a haunted park…I can’t say I’ve ever been on a date quite like this before.

Ember: I don’t want you to think I’m boring.

Clover: I’ve never thought you were boring, Ember. Not even once.

Ember: [grinning] Good to know.

Clover: So… is this park actually haunted?

Ember: Who knows? But it does have a nice spooky vibe to it.

Clover: You know for being called speed dates, I feel like these take forever. I’m sorry that it’s getting so late already.

Ember: I don’t mind waiting. I kind of snuck in some time earlier.

Clover: Hmm. that’s true. I guess it is like we already had one.

Ember: I guess that means I should just cut to the chase then?

Clover: I’m really sorry about soaking you earlier.

Ember: It’s not a big deal, really. Why come to this kind of thing if you’re not expecting to get wet?

Clover: [chuckles] You’re right.

Ember: Plus, it gives me leverage to guilt trip you into warming up next to the bonfire with me.

Clover: [more blushing] S-stop!

Ember: Isn’t it dangerous for a pretty girl to be out all by herself this late at night?

Clover: Thanks, but it’s not like I’m not used to it.

Ember: What are you doing out here all alone anyway?

Clover: This whole dating thing is overwhelming for me with one person… but seven of you? It’s a lot.

Ember: Would you like me to leave you alone?

Clover: No… it’s okay. You can stay.

[they talk for a little and Clover awkwardly holds his hand]

Clover: Um… would it be weird if… I don’t know, gave you a hug?

Fox: Well, yeah… I mean there are all of these people here and we just met and…

Clover: U-uh… right. Nevermind. [goes to hide in embrasmessment]

Ember: [way too pleased with how this turned out]

(Thanks Fox)

Clover: Do you mind if I join you two?

Lubomir: Of course not, mon chou, there is always room for you.
